About Me

The name's Frankie. I'm on US Eastern standard time. I don't have a set schedule during the day, and my availability can be cut short by fluctuation in mood and health. Fourth-Walling: What's a fourth wall? (I break the fourth wall all the time in my narrative, although Link himself will never make a direct reference to your character being fictional. I might slip in a referential joke or two but otherwise I don't like to drop the "you're fictional!" bomb on characters ICly unless given the OK. You can do that to Link, though.)

Hugging: He likes hugs. :3 He might be weirded out if it's a stranger, but he'll get over it. Because. Hugs!
Flirting: A-OK, although it might go over his head. Or it might hit dead-on and he'll respond in kind, aggressively. He's a weird one. And he can go either way with the ladies or the mens. Unless you're Ghirahim. Then you can get right the fuck out. THAT BEING SAID, he has a THING for Zelda, so that's a hurdle to consider.
Kissing: Random kissing is fine, yes.
Sexing: I tend not to RP smut with strangers so random smut in a meme is out unless I know you really well. PM me if you want to allude to our characters having sex.
Injuring: PM me first. I like to coordinate action scenes behind...the scenes...
Killing: See "Injuring".
Telepathy: Oh your poor telepathic character...

Canon Summary

Link comes from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the sixteenth entry in The Legend of Zelda game franchise. Skyward Sword occurs before every Zelda game to date, making this Link the earliest confirmed version of the character in the series' timeline.

To keep track of where Link is at in his canon, I will divvy it up to a few handy sections!

• Pre-Canon: Link is living a normal life as a student of the Knight Academy, hanging off the hemlines of his childhood friend, Zelda. He is generally considered by the faculty to be a talented, if sleepy, student, though he's often the target of bullying by Groose, who envies his close friendship with Zelda. Closer to the start of canon, he is selected to participate in his school's annual Wing Ceremony, which determines who will graduate to the senior class. He also begins to have strange, recurring nightmares.

• Practice Sword: The standard sword used by students of the Knight Academy for training. It belongs to the school and is stowed away in a chest in the Sparring Hall when not in use. Has a fairly sharp blade.

• True Master Sword**: The final version of the Goddess Sword, blessed by the goddess Hylia in her mortal incarnation. This sword is broken to no end and deals an absurd amount of damage, even for the Master Sword. That was a digression. It's still very strong, especially against demons. Its Skyward Strike takes less time to charge, has a wider radius, and travels further. And is, of course, more powerful. Because this sword is broken.

• Basic Swordplay: Link is an exceptionally gifted swordsman who is already knowledgeable in skills that some people need to be taught. That being said, he is still quite amateurish at the start of his quest. He tends to telegraph his attacks and throw hits without paying attention to where an enemy is guarding. But he's a quick study, and tends not to make the same mistakes twice.


• Spin Attack: Link will spin in a horizontal or vertical direction with his sword held out at arm's length. This stands a good chance of knocking an enemy down, leaving them open for a Fatal Blow. However, performing a Spin Attack takes up a considerable amount of Link's stamina. He cannot perform more than two successive Spin Attacks before running out of breath.


• Fatal Blow: If Link knocks an enemy down, he has an opportunity to finish them off with a Fatal Blow. Link will leap on top of his prone enemy and drive his sword directly into the torso. This kills most enemies, and severely weakens others. However, Link only has a small window of opportunity to perform this maneuver. If he misses, he will merely drive his sword into the ground.

Link is currently pre-canon and bound at Milliways. His T-Minus trolltag is skywardSnore, and his hex code is #5c7b3c. There are times when he will not respond to a message because he is asleep. When that happens I will respond only with an icon. Your character is free to pester him further until he wakes up, or exit the chat altogether. He has an odd friendship/mentorship with Tommy Gavin (gavin62truck) and is on friendly terms with Enzo Matrix (a1enzo), Twilight Sparkle (no_vampires_plz), and Sameth (makesthingswooden shield.
